Oasis Zoo Run (1)

What an Incredible Weekend at Oasis ZooRun 2025!

Thank you to everyone who ran, walked, fundraised, and cheered at this year’s Oasis ZooRun! Because of your incredible support, we raised more than $102,000 — the highest total in the event’s history.

Your efforts are helping bring the new Toronto Zoo’s Community Conservation Centre to life and inspiring the next generation of conservation leaders. Every step, donation, and cheer made a lasting difference for wildlife.

Running for Wildlife

This year’s ZooRun brought together runners, walkers, families, and Zoo supporters from across the region for a weekend full of energy, fun, and purpose. Whether you were racing for a personal best or taking in the sights along the scenic Zoo course, you were part of something truly special — a community united for conservation.

From animal-themed costumes to smiling faces at the finish line, the day was filled with moments that celebrated connection, compassion, and care for our planet. Together, you helped make this the most successful ZooRun yet!

Where the Funds Are Going

Funds from the 2025 Oasis ZooRun will support the development of the Toronto Zoo Community Conservation Centre, a dynamic new gateway to conservation. The Centre will feature hands-on learning spaces, an Indigenous Medicine and Welcome Garden, and immersive viewing areas for species like North American river otters and Blanding’s turtles, a threatened species reared and released through the Zoo’s Headstarting Program.

The Centre will also be open to everyone, with outdoor learning spaces and viewing areas accessible to everyone, making conservation education more inclusive than ever before.

Inspiring the Next Generation

Beyond the finish line, the impact of this year’s ZooRun will continue to grow. Through the Community Conservation Centre, the funds raised will:

  • Empower young conservationists with hands-on programs that build environmental knowledge and leadership.
  • Engage families and visitors with interactive exhibits that showcase Canadian species and inspire action for the planet.
  • Create accessible spaces where people can connect with wildlife and traditional ecological knowledge.
