Executive Director
Kathy Koch is Executive Director at the Toronto Zoo Wildlife Conservancy, charity partner of the Toronto Zoo. With the help of incredible donors, they help support educational programming, animal well-being, and essential conservation science programs including the Toronto Zoo's Wildlife Cryobank.
Kathy has worked in for-profit, social enterprise and not-for-profit organizations. She holds a Master’s in Business Administration and is a Certified Fund Raising Executive. She lives in Toronto with her family and hopes to contribute to a more equitable and sustainable world for the generations to come.

Marion Zimmer has been working in a professional capacity as a fundraiser for the Toronto Zoo for 20 years, first with the Toronto Zoo Foundation, then in the Toronto Zoo’s fundraising department directly, and now with the Toronto Zoo Wildlife Conservancy.
Prior to the Zoo, Marion held fundraising positions in both the university and healthcare sectors, including as the Executive Director of St. John’s Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation and Community Memorial Hospital Foundation. Marion holds Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Education and Masters of Education degrees from the University of Toronto.

Alanna Wallace
Director of Major Gifts

Alanna brings fifteen years of experience in fundraising and nonprofit management to the role of Director of Major Gifts at the Toronto Zoo Conservancy. Alanna began her career in the international development space, working on the ground across Southern Africa supporting community-based initiatives in education and wildlife conservation.
Since returning to Canada in 2017, Alanna has held fundraising and communications roles at the Stephen Lewis Foundation, as well as the Planeterra Foundation. Most recently, Alanna served as the Bowmanville Hospital Foundation’s Director of Campaign and Community Giving, spearheading the organization’s multi-million dollar initiative to build a new hospital. Throughout her career, Alanna has demonstrated a passion for storytelling, community engagement, and building a culture of philanthropy.
As a member and longtime supporter of the Toronto Zoo, Alanna is passionate about connecting community members to the mission and vision of the TZWC.

Danielle Boyle
Manager of Annual Giving and Engagement

Danielle Boyle is the Manager of Annual Giving and Engagement at the Toronto Zoo Wildlife Conservancy, bringing fresh, strategic and holistic approaches to the programs since joining in 2022. In her role, Danielle leads the Annual Giving, Marketing and Communications, Donor Stewardship and Community Fundraising programs, ensuring cohesive and impactful engagement across all channels.
With over a decade of experience in fundraising, Danielle has built her expertise through roles at her local hospital, within the fundraising consulting sector and extensive volunteer work. Her deep knowledge and innovative thinking continue to shape successful campaigns and community initiatives.
As a long-time supporter of the Toronto Zoo, Danielle is passionate about discovering new and meaningful ways to connect with and inspire the boarder community.

Kelsey Godel is the Donor Stewardship & Engagement Coordinator at the Toronto Zoo Wildlife Conservancy. She has been connected to the Zoo since 2011 and joined the Conservancy team in 2021. Over the years, Kelsey has developed a deep understanding of the organization and built lasting relationships across departments and with our dedicated community of supporters.
Within her current role, Kelsey is the driving force behind the Adopt an Animal program, and has helped bring national and international attention to the Conservancy through campaigns such as Name a Roach and OnlyPaws. She also coordinates key fundraising initiatives such as the annual silent auction, Wild Walk, and several others – all designed to connect donors with the Zoo’s mission in fun, personal and impactful ways.
Kelsey is dedicated to supporting wildlife conservation and donor engagement by creating authentic, meaningful, and memorable experiences for every supporter of the Toronto Zoo.

Database Coordinator

Stephen Hum has been the Database Coordinator of the Toronto Zoo Wildlife Conservancy since 2014, after joining the Toronto Zoo team in 2012. With a background in fundraising and over a decade of experience, Stephen brings a strong commitment to protecting donor privacy and providing excellent service.
Within his current role, Stephen is a key point of contact for our donors, offering a familiar presence and is consistently fostering a positive and meaningful donor experience. He collaborates closely with Toronto Zoo Team members to help ensure financial integrity and accurate reporting for the Toronto Zoo Wildlife Conservancy. He continues to uphold strong internal controls to protect donor information in our databases.
Driven by a passion for fundraising and wildlife conservation, Stephen continues to create a positive and impactful experience for every donor he interacts with.

Rachel McLaughlin is the Communications Coordinator at the Toronto Zoo Wildlife Conservancy and has been connected to the Toronto Zoo since 2011. A core member of the Conservancy team since 2018, Rachel brings nearly a decade of experience in communications and marketing, along with a deep institutional knowledge and an understanding of the organization’s mission and impact.
Rachel plays a key role in shaping the communications and social strategy for a wide range of local, national, and international initiatives, and translates this complex work into compelling, accessible stories for public, donor, and stakeholder audiences. Rachel works collaboratively with teams across the Toronto Zoo and beyond, ensuring that messaging is accurate and resonates with diverse audiences.
As a strong advocate for honest and strategic storytelling, Rachel believes that clear, authentic communication is at the heart of building awareness, trust, and long-term support.

Digital Fundraising Coordinator

Katie Shilletto-Hinton is the Digital Fundraising Coordinator at the Toronto Zoo Wildlife Conservancy having joined the team in 2024. With a background in digital fundraising, she brings fresh, innovative thinking to the team.
Since joining, Katie has been instrumental in the relaunch of the new Toronto Zoo Wildlife Conservancy website and continues to enhance email marketing and social media campaigns. She works closely with various Toronto Zoo Team members ensuring that our content remains impactful, relevant and donor centric.
Passionate about storytelling, Katie believes that digital fundraising is a vital part of any successful campaign.
With fond memories of childhood experiences here at the Toronto Zoo, Katie is thrilled to be back and contribute to an organization that holds deep personal significance - helping to build awareness and support for a cause close to her heart.
