We are at a pivotal moment in time. One where the rate of animal extinction has reached alarming levels, with species disappearing at an unprecedented pace due to habitat destruction, climate change, pollution, illegal wildlife trafficking, and overexploitation.

Your Toronto Zoo has a bold vision. One that can have a lasting impact for generations to come, redefining and setting new standards for animal care and conservation science.

Conservation is a team sport, and we can’t do it alone.

Why your donation matters:

Your Toronto Zoo is more than a place to come and see animals. It’s a safe haven, an innovation hub and a learning playground where people from all walks of life come together to explore, learn and appreciate wildlife and wild spaces together.

With philanthropic support, we will continue to advance conservation science, expand educational programs, enhance animal well-being, and protect biodiversity for future generations.

When you give to the Toronto Zoo Wildlife Conservancy, you are helping to support some of the Toronto Zoo’s highest priorities needs.

Conservation Science

Through cutting-edge science and strategic conservation efforts, we are safeguarding the future of our planet’s ecosystems and ensuring their resilience for generations to come.

Species Recovery programs including Conservation Breeding and Reintroduction put more endangered species, like the Vancouver Island marmot and the Blanding's turtle, back into the wild each year. We also have the most diverse BioBank acting as nature’s insurance policy. As necessary as these programs are, they are funded almost entirely by donations and grants.

The Wilding Endangered Species Preservation Fund provides vital financial support to on-the-ground conservation projects, working alongside key organizations to ensure wildlife can thrive in their natural habitats, while amplifying your Toronto Zoo's global impact in protecting and preserving the natural world.
